The Beginning

2014 a new chapter, a fresh beginning, to start this next stage of my life. I’ve finished school and i’m moving from Tasmania, Australia to live in Pennsylvania, USA, for one whole year. Well to say I’m a little nervous is an understatement, but i’m also flipping excited!!

I didn’t want to go to university straight after finishing 14 years of what could often be described as hell (yes I often exaggerate), I loved elements of school and the friends that I made through it. But really I often was just bored and had a crap time because I wanted to be doing things with my life, I wanted to enter the real world and be part of the bigger picture you could say. So I have become an au pair in America. Yes I will be living with a family, but I’m totally responsible for someone else's kids; three boys aged 5, 11 and 14 to be exact; and that is a whole new level of responsibility. 

So here I am trying to blog, when creativity in writing doesn’t come naturally - as you might be able to tell. But I wanted a place to connect with my family and friends back home, as well as document this year for myself. As I get to know a new way of life and explore America I want to remember this year and the things that I did.

So here it goes!
Am I nervous? Yes. 
Ready? Kind of.

Excited? Absolutely!
