Traffic

Seriously America? Traffic! I freaking hate traffic. I know that I come from nearly the smallest place on earth, where getting stuck behind 10 cars for 2 minutes is considered traffic. But what I experienced here today was terrible. What should have been an 1 1/2 hour car journey, turned into a 4 hour car journey. Like who wants to be stuck in traffic for that long. It was exhausting and irritating. I don't even understand how traffic like that occurs. Not to mention that as soon as I got to my destination I had to take one of the children to a friends house 30 minutes away. So I ended up being in the car for another hour on top of that. I sure did not sign up of this. 

I honestly put it down to bad roads. Roads here for one a awful, like the actual road bit. They are all bumpy and full of pot holes, which just love to put holes in your tyres. Second, the road system seems completely impractical. There aren't enough lanes to accommodate all the traffic, and they always seem to be doing road works at peak hour, blocking up more lanes. There other issue is public transport. I would be happy to catch the train to my destination. If only the trains actually went more often than every hour or more. Like there is no way that can be practical for people to access all the time.

Anyone I'm probably just from a small town where we don't have these issues. Plus my actual family are normal and don't try and make life harder for themselves by basing their homes, jobs, and sporting activities so far apart.

Well that's my rant about Americas traffic over... for now.
